Gives people the option to create applications for items they need that they may not be able to see on auction or if they agree with the prices on auction.

Advantage,
- it doesn't show the people's identity when they sell the product and also gives much lower tax cost than you would get compared to trading items to each other
- If you have someone who will sell you the item but is too busy to make trades at the time you ask you can make an app for the items and have the seller sell to you when they have the time to sell through exchange
- A very good way to buy many resources without having to search for sellers as people can see your application anywhere in faeo except if they are in instances or battlefields so if you are in a rush for something or purchase items regularly you can make the app sit back and wait for people to fill it in, or if you are in need for fast cash you can sell your resources/items quickly without having to put on auction and wait for someone to buy.
- Its fast!

Disadvantage,
- You can only sell your items under exchange at 2 locations and that is at city square or / settlement chernag/klesva

Tip
DONT ever give out loans/accept payment from loans by using exchange as it is the most stupidest way, say for example your loaning someone 30g and tell them to make exchange up for 1 purple pot/fish/stone/plant at this price no matter how fast the both of you are just remember there are others looking on exchange and you will find someone else will fill in the application and take your golds and you will never find out who and still be back at square 1 minus alot of gold. I found this out the hard way don't make the same mistake and just be simple and use trade :' )
info: Visit the battlefields to earn valor. Valor is essential for getting access to the best armour!

When you want to buy the item but you're too lazy to find a buyer, you just go in exchange, find the item you want and the amount of it you want and put the price at which you'll buy the item you're looking for. When you're a seller, you can go check exchange and if someone put an offer for an item you wish to sell, you just sell them through the exchange by cliking sell.
Advantages: It grealy simplifies the hunt for a buyer/seller. As the buyer, you can spend less by setting your own price. As a seller, it is easier to sell items.
Disadvantages: You can only sell items in dartrong or chernagg. As a seller, you'll rarely get the best price for your items through exchange

To use exchange you go to auction and click one of the 3 tabs on the right.(Exchange , My aplications and New aplication)

Exchange tab is where it lists all of the items people want.
If you have the box on the left checked it will only show the items you can sell to people wanting them(Do note that this only reads what you have in your backpack).

My applications shows your current offers you have placed ( the items you want to buy).

New application is were you make new offers for items you want to buy.
You just type the name of an item.Click it.Then set price per pcs. and quntity of item you want.
It has 24 hour period. When that timer runs out all pcs of items will be seen to you via post with the rest of the gold if there is any.And the other option is that you will be sent a mail if ALL of the pcs. of an item your requested has been sold to you.

Advantages of exchange is you dont have to put a looking for forum post. You just put a good price( not too high not low) and someone will sell it to you or PM you if your price is a little bit low.
Also you dont pay tax when making apllications. So thats less money spent on tax.

Dissadvantages of it is you can only sell items to other players threw excange only from the 2 normal auctions and not via the auction button in the upper right.

How does the exchange in the auction work?

The exchange is an expansion to the traditional auction. Through it, players may post requests for a specific item along with the amount of money they are willing to pay.
For example…
Desiring large quantities of agate stones, Person A may make an exchange bid of 1000 pcs of agate stones at a price of 50 copper each.
Upon clicking submit, the total price of this exchange request (1000psc x 50c = 5g) + (tax = 1s) = (5g 1s) will be removed from Person As wallet.
At this point, any one that looks at the exchange can see this request.
Once person B sees the request of 1000 agate at 50c each, he can choose to fulfil the order or simply walk away.
Person B must be in the auction house and have the item(s) already in his back pack to fulfill the request.
Person B may also choose to fulfill only a portion of the exchange request.
If Person B chooses to fulfill a portion of the exchange request equaling 85 pieces of agate stone he will receive (85 x 50c = 42s 50c) – (tax) = (somewhere around 41s.)
At this point, the remainder of the exchange request will still be in the exchange for anyone else to fulfill.
Once the exchange request has been completely fulfilled, the requested items are sent from the exchange directly to Person As post box.
If the exchange is not completely fulfilled in 24 hours, the amount of fulfilled resource along with the remaining money are posted directly to Person As post box.

Side notes:
1. Only 3 exchange requests can be made at once by any player.
2. You may only make 1 exchange request per item. (for instance you may not make 2 requests for evil eyes at different prices)
3. Exchange requests can be made from any location but can only be fulfilled while in the auction.

Pros:
1. You can use this, to transfer items to yourself if you are away from the city. Eg… if you are hunting but out of mount food you can make a request for 1000 mount food at any price. At this point a friend or clannie may fulfill that bid at your quest which will post the mount food directly to you.
2. The tax rate for exchange transactions is significantly lower that trade, post, or auction. On chess pieces and other high value items this is very handy.
3. Items can frequently be acquired for less than auction prices though exchange bids.
4. During events such as profitable exchange with the smugglers you can place bids on items that the market will be flooded with. This will allow you to get Evil Eyes and Coal at significantly cheaper prices even if you are not logged in.
5. You can place very low bids on valuable items such as the Frex Card to act as sort of an advertisement. Players will see you are interested in the card and can choose to contact you if they have one for sale.

Cons:
1. Although many items can have exchange request placed for an infinite amount of the item, some items such as quest resources like bravado helmets can be placed in only 1 item increments.
2. You must be in either the city or your secondary city square to fulfila exchange requests.

The Auction House in game, is a place where players can post items for the prices they want, and those who want it, will buy or bid at the prices.
The Exchange feature, let's the buyer put up a request for an item, so that the sellers can sell to them.

This one is like putting up a tender or an open contract.

Putting up an exchange request costs a flat fee of 1s to the buyer.
Fulfilling this exchange, costs a 1% fee to the seller.
A player can only have 3 separate Requests up at one time.
Some items can only be put up at a maximum quantity of 1. (Mask Of Horror, GOblet of Baddukh. Armors etc)

In Order to put up an exchange request these are the steps.
1. Open the Auction House button, Click on New Application.
2. Provide the name of the item, or choose one item category from the drop down to select from the available items matching your criteria.
3. Provide the per item price you'll be paying. Also provide the number of items you wish to buy.
4. Click Put up.

Notes:
This application can be put up from anywhere in Faeo where you can open an Auction House page. (So not inside BF or instances)
This costs a flat fee of 1s
All bids are made for 24 hours.

Fulfilling Exchanges -
1. You need to be in either Dartrong City Square or Settlement of Chernag. I don't know if the new mage only cities have AH or not, but if they do, we should theoretically be able to do this from there as well.
2. Click on AH button. Click the Exchange tab.
3. If the suitable checkbox is ticked, you'll only get the exchange offers which you're able to fulfill with the current items in your backpack.
4. You will see the sell button below each exchange. If you like an offer there, you can click the sell button to sell any number of items you want, to the seller. Upto a maximum of how much the seller has put up.
5. YOu're charged a flat fee of 1% on each of your exchange transactions.

Note: The buyer does not have to be online for you to fulfill their exchanges.

Pros & Cons for the Auction Exchange

The "Exchange" is a type of market in the auction house in which you can offer Gold, Silver and Copper for items. Instead of items for Gold like in the traditional Auction House. For example, you can offer 10 gold upfront in exchange for a Large Sparkling Crystal.

Pros:
1. If you are in need of gold quickly you can sell one of your items to someone who has a lot up in the exchange and recieve the money immediatly.
2. If you are looking to purchase an item that is not currently offered in the auction house you can put up a lot in the exchange for the amount you are willing to pay.
3. It enables you to offer money for an item no matter where you are in the world of Faeo.

Cons:
1. You cannot buy multiples of certain items like Congralet Cards, Crystals, Mask of horror etc. etc.
2. You are not able to fulfill exchange lots unless you are in Dartong, O'Delvays or one of the secondary cities.

In the squares of Dartrong and O’Del’vays and the centres of Chernag and Klesva, you can find Faeo’s auction houses, the auction is accessible from level 2.

You will find several sections in the auction house, if you go to the right there you can find exchange.
Exchange it’s used for put the item you want to buy and it’s price, so anyone can see it, and in case they have it, they can sell it you without having to deal with you directly or see if you are online. It’s useful to buy things at the prize you want.
First you need to put your bid item, there are different parameters to find them:
- item name
- item level
- item class
- item colour

You can filter and try to find it, but most of the time with name it’s enough.
Pros:
- You can buy what you want at the price you want
- You don’t have to be looking for someone that sells what you need
- You can put your bids wherever you are, in case you are fare away from the one selling, you can ask them to sell using exchange.
- Lower tax
Cons:
- You need to be in dartong or chernag to sell
- Some items you can only put 1 unity, and you can’t put several bids for same item.
- Some items can’t be sold in auction, like DH pieces
- There’s a minimum bid, so things like some dust can be sold using exchange too.
