UPDATE on attack rule!

Dear players,

Last year we have introduced the so-called Attack Rule. It has received some updates during this time and we have been paying a close eye to how it was working with the game and community. Recently we have asked you to submit your feedback regarding it on the forum. After reading through it all and based on our experience, we have updated the rules. Based on the old ones, here are the updated rules:

From now on, there is an outright BAN on attacks against any player of the opposite race, whose level is below your level by more than 5. This rule only applies for attacks on players with level 10 or lower and is valid only on territories directly belonging to any of the races. (Please also read point no7 concerning attacks with scrolls)

Please note, the attack rule does not apply anymore for any attacks on players whose level is 11 or higher.

The following areas do not belong to any of the races, so this rule does not apply to any fights taking place on any of these territories:
  • Insanity Moor
  • Plateau of Silence
  • Isles of Fay-Go
  • Underwater World and all its locations
  • Isles of Swirling Mist
  • Frozen islands
  • Rainbow Lands (during the Clan Wars season)
Clarifying aspects:

1. Mass battles during events such as "Caravan", "Trade Journey", Battle for Fortress seizure (including Haldebor, Wind Rose, Eridan, Kiyrite), Ancient Plateau, among others.

Any attacks of lower-level players will NOT be grounds for getting punishment during these battles!

2. Any Human or Magmar caught on the territory of an enemy race can be attacked or cursed/immobilized/poisoned by ANY player of ANY level of a hostile race. This action will NOT be grounds for punishment!

ATTENTION! Note that such an attack is the resolving ground for a retaliatory attack on any territory, as long as the provoked player has got proofs of the provocation!

  • Should a lower-level player provoke a high level for a retaliatory attack (see below), the high level player should make a screenshot of the chat window, showing the provocation/the use of a curse/spell or any other negative effect against himself in order to prove the legitimacy of the retaliatory attack. Also see point 6 below.
Examples of provocation/hostile actions:
  • Insults. For example, insulting messages/a gift with an insult just before the attack and directly on given location.
  • Use of negative effects. For example, any "Curse of the Sickly Hex", the use of the "Prisoner's Ball and Chain", throwing summons etc.
  • Direct attacks.
  • Intentional looting.
3. Players have the right to request assistance in battles from their acquaintances/friends/clan or alliance mates on ANY territory. However, attacked players can request help from ONLY ONE friend, who is more than 5 levels higher than the level of the attacker. All other players who wish to assist their friend must comply with the rules.

4. If during any raid a player has accidentally attacked a player that is more than 5 levels below their level, they may not hit and need to use the sand clock to avoid autohit. They should report the incident to guards right away to avoid any punishment.

5. If a level 10 or lower player get attacked by a player who is more than 5 levels above their own level, they should report the attack within 3 days to any guard including the fight link.

6. If a low-level is provoking any higher level player (See examples of provocation/hostile actions above) they will lose all protection from any attacks of this high-level player permanently after the second provocation - within the limits of article 9 CoC (see below). First offense shall be handled as 1 attack within 7 days and a report to guards to warn the provoking player.

7. Executioners DO have the right to take orders for players of ANY level. Further the use of executioner/attack scrolls on OWN race by ANY PLAYER OR EXECUTIONERin general only is allowed if there has been a valid order or direct provocation or during declared clan wars. The attacker should make a screenshot of the chat window, showing the provocation/the use of a curse/spell or any other negative effect against himself or the order of executing in order to prove the legitimacy of the retaliatory attack.

The following conditions must be taken into account:
  • The victim must be of the same race than the Executioner.
  • The Contractor may not order the execution of the same player for an extended period of times within a short time frame.
  • Members of the same clan/alliance may act as "The Contractor". However, in this case the clan/alliance leader will be considered to be "The Contractor" and will have to take full responsibility for the actions of their clan/alliance members.
You can find these rules added to the Game Rules, under the Penalties section: Point 8, Destructive actions .

Note that a rule has been added to the Code of Conduct on 21.07.2017. For your comfort, here is the rule that has been added:
  • You may not do anything that interferes with the ability of other Legend: Legacy of the Dragons players to enjoy the game or web site in accordance with its rules. This includes, but is not limited to, making inappropriate use of any channels within the game and/or intentionally persecuting/hunting down/excecuting other players for an extended period of time.
Clarifying aspect:

Battles during a war between two clans/alliances.
Any attacks of lower-level players from the enemy clan during a war will NOT be grounds for getting punishment!

The rules have already come to effect as of this moment. Breach of said rules will be punished.
