Mystery of Cleaving Blow

The quest becomes available after you have received the achievement for 100 shadow kills: My shadow knows no mercy.

First, you will need to collect all Rodwin's diaries.

Rodwin's diaries can be obtained by gathering collections in the Instances tab (the first 7 collections there). Researcher's Hat, required to complete the collections, can be purchased in the shops in Dartrong and O'Delvays.

When you collect all the Rodwin's diaries, talk to your own shadow. It will ask you to kill Bog Elf [9] and find Rodwin the Pathfinder's Lost Diary. After that, give the book to your own shadow.

Then the shadow will ask you to go to the Forgotten Library and find Scroll of Summoning Shadows. The library is located in the catacombs, you will need a Torch to enter (available from Mercenary shop if you have 500 Mercenaries reputation).

You can find the scroll in the bottom left corner of the location screen.
Please note that it might be impossible to complete this part of the quest during the One-armed Bandit event.

The scroll can be used in any location, and in order to use it, you will need 333 Twilight Crystals.

When you use the scroll, you will be attacked by Master of Shadows [7]. The fight is quite difficult, you might want to make sure you have mount food and some summons. In case of a defeat, you can use the scroll again without paying the Twilight Crystals.

After the fight you will receive Cleaving Blow Folio and Shadow's Cleaving Blow Folio.

Use the folios to teach yourself and your shadow the Cleaving Blow.

01:32 Achievement accomplished "Secret of Cleaving Blow"
01:32 You have learned the Cleaving Blow super-blow.
01:32 Your shadow learnt the spell Shadow’s Cleaving Blow

Shadows in the Night [8]

Completing the quest unlocks access to the Crypt of Fallen Heroes instance

The quest starts with a dialogue with Chief Torgor / Chief Kort. Be careful: you will get attacked immediately after clicking "Continue". The fight with Ghostly Opponent [8] will start, you will have to win in order to proceed with the quest (in case of defeat speak to the Chief again to start the fight). After the fight you will receive a Cape Tatter.

Talk to Chief Torgor / Chief Kort, they will send you to Khorsungum the Mage / Arnabag the Mage to show them the tatter from the cape of the unknown enemy. The mage will then ask for an Eye of Truth and a Vertsida Flower Stem / Rainbow Sphere. After handing in the resources, talk to your Own Shadow.

Your Shadow will send you to talk to Budugri the Archivist / Archivist Seimelu. They will ask you to kill Saber-tooth Tigers / Valdagor Wolves and obtain Tiger Hide / Wolf Hide (10 pcs.). When you have enough hides, return to the Archivist.

Next step requires you to kill Tomb Raiders [5] during the Tomb Raiders event, until you obtain the Key to the Crypt. Key drop is random. When you find the Key, use it in your backpack. After that, talk to Aquazurion.

When talking to Aquazurion, depending on your Flaundin reputation level, you might be asked to bring 2 Gollade pearls. After that Aquazurion will ask you to obtain Enemy's Blood / Enemy's Lava. You can obtain it by killing a member of the opposite race (whose level is not lower than yours for more than 1) on the Plateau of Silence, in Haunted Place, or in the Fortress of Captivity. You must inflict the most damage to the enemy to obtain Blood/Lava.

When you obtain the Blood/Lava, use the Key again. After that use the Key once more, this time in the crypt's location - Tomb of Kings / Graves of the Poor.

Immediately after you use the Key, a series of five fights will start. Make sure you have belt auto-fill turned on. In each fight you will have to defeat Shadow of a Fallen Warrior [8]. After the last fight, return to Chief Torgor / Chief Kort.

Rewards: Twilight Casket 10 pcs, Small Twilight Essence of Experience 3 pcs, access to Crypt of Fallen Heroes.
