Armour/sword disappeared

I was just doing a bit of fishing, then set off to join in an event, only to discover that all of my armour and my sword have completely disappeared...I'm left in my undies with fishing rod in hand!

I've checked my backpack, I've logged out, cleared my cache, and logged back in again, but still not armour...help!
