HP decreases with Underwater gear...

HP decreases with Underwater gear...

Hello!
Here's what I don't understand:
When I'm underwater with the Underwater gear my HP is 618 (when staying idle, picking corals, etc.)
But when I engage a Sharker Legionnaire (regular mob 1 level below mine) my HP is decreased to 497.
I'm not under Degradation Curse or any effect cast by my opponent... Can you please explain me why does my HP decrease...?
