The Phantom of the Cursed Queen Celeste, imprisoned posthumously in the Labyrinth in the world of Ergam. The malevolent ghost of the cruel ruler has managed to seep through the barrier between worlds and into the domain of the Great Dragons. Celeste raised the most fearsome creatures of Faeo from the dead and led her army of evil spirits and resurrected monsters. If she succeeds in reigning here, it will be the tragic end of the great age of Humans and Magmars!
One of the monstrous inhabitants of the Labyrinth is a creature that consists mainly of a huge stomach. The Belly lives only for constant digestion. It absorbs and digests almost everything, and its gastric juices burn even through steel armor - it’s only safe for the many parasites living inside it.
Celeste’s hatred, trapped in the Ergam Labyrinth, can animate even soulless steel! If you look closely, you will see, to your horror, that there is nothing under the visor but emptiness. Who knowns which of the subterranean crevices holds the remains of the former owner of this revived empty armor suit? Clearly he was a true master of the blade, since even his empty armor can use a sword and strike the enemy like the most skilled of warriors now.
One of the inhabitants of the Ergam Labyrinth is a golem whose body is formed of proliferating crystals of a special type. This mineral has been known in Ergam since the ancient times for its ability to heal wounds, but it gains astonishing strength in the hands of a healthy person, and next to a seriously ailing one it crumbles into dangerously sharp splinters. Only a very sophisticated and cunning mind could create a battle-ready Golem Guard from such a material!
A powerful mage who lived in the mountains near Ergam when it was still a tiny village. In those days, the first of the townsfolk expelled Tskar due to the prudent fear of his dark magic, and in his posthumous incarnation he eagerly sided with Celeste. Tskar has gained the protection of the elements that reign in the Labyrinth — now he enters the battle as the wind is shrieking, the flame is roaring and the earth is shuddering.
Former novices of the Church of Dawn who have strayed from righteousness and now want to resurrect Celeste. Having renounced their faith, the sisters Helda, Cora and Ilse came down into the Labyrinth and sacrificed themselves to pass their power on to Celeste. Yet the Cursed Queen brought them back to life, tethering them with invisible bonds to form another monstrous creature in the Labyrinth.
A former ruler of Ergam, whose unprecedented cruelty has featured in all the historical chronicles. The rebellious citizens mercilessly executed Celeste, and her body was buried in the Labyrinth. However, she didn’t in the lands of the dead for very long. She returned to this world, burning with thirst for revenge. The Cursed Queen can never leave the Labyrinth, but within it she reigns supreme, leading her ghostly entourage to attack anyone entering her underground domain.
One day a pious servant of the Church of Dawn accidentally discovered the plans of a certain sorceress determined to bring Celeste back to life. The sorceress caught up with the novice at the altar — the unfortunate woman hardly managed to offer a fervent prayer before the lethal spell struck her. Faith worked a miracle, preserving the life of the novice, but the magic also did its dark work. In the end, the novice merged with the altar itself, forming a horrific creature that immediately ripped the sorceress to shreds. In the morning, the servants of the Church of Dawn were terrified to discover the monster in the Cathedral. They imprisoned it in the Labyrinth, concealing what had transpired from the people of Ergam…
One of the centers of power in the Labyrinth is its ghostly heart. It is woven from the fears, nightmares and dying visions of those who never found their way back out of the endless underground corridors. Every beat of this heart, echoing in the darkness, causes the captives in the Labyrinth to freeze in terror and lose a portion of life.
Held imprisoned in the Labyrinth, the spirit of the legendary renegade shaman has lost none of its cunning and skill with magic. Worse still - it seems that in afterlife, Kratkh has acquired new powers. This is where he has gathered his repulsive entourage - a flock of dead Kretches, ready to take their rotten fangs to savage the throats of anyone targeted by their leader.
A giant two-headed dog guarding the Labyrinth in Ergam. One of his heads is watching vigilantly to prevent anyone from entering these perilous dungeons, and the other ensures that nobody gets out. In combat, however, both maws torment the Custodian’s opponents with equal fury. However it’s not just the double set of razor-sharp fangs that makes it dangerous - this creature can control the destructive elements of the Labyrinth.
Penitents devote their lives to fighting all manner of evil, but this Renegade, settled in the Labyrinth, has betrayed the ancient commandments and went over to the side of darkness. Now she casts her spell with just a look, desecrates the air with her breath, curses with every word she speaks and constantly emits a destructive aura. Just being around her is lethal - and to fight her is sheer madness.
This formidable warrior once commanded Celeste’s army. He used to throw the severed heads of troublemakers at the foot of her throne and set fire to whole districts of Ergam. They say that, during a riot, even fifty rebels were barely able to defeat him. So Ulf lost his own head, but his ghost could find no rest. Death has neither tempered his anger nor robbed him of strength - the ghostly commander now takes pleasure in punishing and torturing, all for the glory of his Queen.
The messenger of Chaos in the stone dungeons of the Labyrinth. The mage hates the cramped and convoluted corridors of this place, and dreams of general destruction, which is beyond his power to accomplish. However, Chaos endows its servant with sufficient power so that the Mage can incinerate opponents with fireballs, rain down fiery showers on their heads and wipe out entire companies of men with terrifying explosions.
A ferocious bird from the flock of the cursed god Eshu, whose spirit is once again clad in flesh in the Labyrinth. Resurrected Shaissar has become even stronger, her temper even fiercer. The creature’s terrifying cry and devastating songs are now reverberating off the walls of the underground corridors over and over again, to the horror of the daredevils who have had the courage to descend into this terrible place.
Even in such a dangerous place as the Labyrinth, you may encounter an unexpected ally. The Custodian means you no harm. On the contrary, he stands guard over your life, protecting it from the creatures of the dungeon. What drives such a strange tree warrior? Perhaps he is fulfilling some kind of vow, taking revenge on the creatures of Celeste, or maybe that’s just his nature. It’s unlikely we would be able to find the answer - the Custodian’s lips are tightly closed and sealed with bark.
The last of an ancient tribe of dragons that once inhabited the mountain peaks around Ergam. The steady expansion of the city, the development of technology and the invention of gunpowder all led to the winged reptiles becoming extinct, but Oruzd, having survived miraculously, was captured by the spawn of the Labyrinth and locked up under the guard of four incorporeal spirits. Needless to say, his fierce temper has only worsened after the years of imprisonment. Anyone who dares to approach the dragon is met with streams of dark flame and terrible blows from its giant claws.
A Great Dragon in the dark corridors of the Labyrinth?! Could it be real? Or is this just another spawn of this tomb, made incarnate and clad in your deepest fears and hopes? Be that as it may, the dark winged serpent is as powerful as Sheara’s creation itself, and will attack you with all the might of Striagorn, especially if his light brother is fighting alongside.
