Set Bonus is a special buff you get when you have at the required amount of equipment of the SAME set equipped

the bonus varie from very little such as +2 in stats to huge such as +45 strength +45 stats

All classes with a shield or second sword needs at least 6 equipment of the same set to recieve the bonus while BoneCrusher needs 5 piece because of the two-hand weapon. You can also get the max set bonus by equipping all 8-9 piece of the same set

Here are some stats you get by wearing certain armor sets (including the ones you DONT get bonus)

For grey
Leather, Ringmail, and Underwater are actual sets of armor BUT has no bonus
Hunter Set
5 items:+8 protection+8 vitality
9 items:+13 protection+13 vitality
Cutthroat Set
5 items: +8 strength +8 intuition
9 items: +13 strength+13 intuition

Green set
Twilight Set
5 items:+10 strength+10 agility
9 items:+15 strength+15 agility
Berserker set
5 items: +45 strength+18 intuition+32 wisdom <-- Notice the extra stats you get higher level armor as well!
8 items:+59 strength+25 intuition+39 wisdom

Blue set
You have the standard Valour type which gives you extra bonus to Trauma
Reflection set
5 items: +27 vitality+27 protection +3 trauma
9 items: +38 vitality+38 protection+7 trauma
Notice that the bonus between valour and chess sets are different, besides the class stats, valour usually gives extra chance to cause truama while the chess sets gives bonus to injury resistance. most of the blue sets will also have a stronger version of purple equipment BUT IT IS STILL in the same set therfore if you wear barbarian blue set with an extra piece of Artful Barbarian axe, you will still recieve the full benefit of using that specific set

AND i just realize that there was a puzzle to do! I didnt see that link at all the first time before writing so much MY BAD!

Set Bonus is a special buff you get when you have at the required amount of equipment of the SAME set equipped
All classes with a shield or second sword needs at least 6 equipment of the same set to recieve the bonus while BoneCrusher needs 5 piece because of the two-hand weapon. You can also get the max set bonus by equipping all 8-9 piece of the same set

the leather and ringmail set counted as a set in the game armory page BUT has no bonus so even if you are wearing a full set of ringmail from lvl6-10, it will not give you any bonus
Hunter Set <- this set is geared towards HW as the bonus gives more hp and protection similar to what hw set usually recieves
5 items:+8 protection+8 vitality
9 items:+13 protection+13 vitality
Cutthroat Set<-although the set doesnt have a two-hand weapon, both sword and the shield gives big stats to intuition and the set bonus gives more damage and intuition as well, so this set is geared towards BC
5 items: +8 strength +8 intuition
9 items: +13 strength+13 intuition

The set bonus is the bonus stats we get for wearing certain amounts of items of certain item sets. For example; Twilight set gives Dodger set bonus (Agility and Strength) at 5 items and 9 items.Mammoth set gives Heavyweight set bonus (Protection and Vitality) at 5 items and 9 items.Executioner set gives Bonecrusher set bonus (Intuition and Strength) at 5 items and 8 items. This applies for other coloured sets except Leather,Ringmail and Underwater sets of Grey item sets.

Note: Bonecrusher sets' 2nd bonus is at 8 items due to their two-handed weapons.

If you equip a full set of same item set(8 pieces for two-handed weapon sets and 9 for others) or 5 items of the same item set you get a special bonus. This is set bonus.

For example:

If you equip 5 pieces of Anger Set you get +14 Strength and +14 Intuition bonus
If you equip all 8 pieces you get +22 Strength and +22 Intuition

Note: If you equip artful version of items they still count as same set.

As you can see on example a bonecrusher set gives intution and strength bonus. This bonus is strength and dexterity for dodger sets(like Northern Wind) and protection and vitality for heawyweight sets(like Slayer of Giants).

*Also level 6+ chess items and guard armours give anti-trauma. (which decreases taking injury probability)
*Level 6-10 armory items and red armour sets give trauma bonus. (which increases giving injury to enemy)

Level 11+ dodger and bonecrusher armour sets also give wisdom bonus.

And in puzzle there are 4 basic sets: leather set, hunter set, cuttroat set and ringmail armour set.

Leather set and rigmail set have no set bonus.
Hunter set gives +8 protection +8 vitality for 5 items and +13 protection +13 vitality for full set (like a hw set)
Cutthroat set gives +8 intuition +8 strength for 5 items and +13 intuition +13 strength for full set (like a bc set with shield)

If you mix different set types like dodger set with a heavy weight set then you get a reduction in stats. You actually lose some health if you put on only 1 item of a different set. Hope this helps someone.

set bonus are additonal increase in your
(1) physical (intuition, protection, agility etc)
(2) magical (wisdom etc) and
(3) general (antitrauma etc)
attributes when you wear the items in the same armor set (excluding the leather and the ringmail sets.)

in general, attributes given depends on the following:
(1) style of combat:
dodger set increases ur agility and strength making u erm. dodge more
heavyweights increase your protection and vitality allowing you to block hits.
and bonecrushers adds a significant amount to your intuition and strenth attributes making u hit harder.

(2) the type (color) of the set.
basic/gray quality/green rare/blue unique/purple and red items.
red items have the highest attributes followed by the purple set, blue set, green and lastly the gray ones.

(3)number of items u are wearing

the picture puzzles shows basic armor set for level 1-3 for the first 3 rows and the last row is the basic ringmail armor set for levls 6-10

as mentioned earlier, leather and ringmail doesnt prvide set bonus
while hunter set provides increased preotection and vitalityu and the cutthroat increases intuition and strenth.,

What is set bonus? And what is the set bonus of the sets in the image? Explain the differences.

what is the set bonus:

this game or better the sets have many boni / bonus @ first the damagerace

a bonecrsuher have a good race vs heavyweight

the heavyweight have a good race vs dodger

and the dodger have the best chance vs bonecrusher

the boni of this 3 differrent styles are simple :

bonecrusher recive more intuition and streing / he is the strongest ,but have the less lifepoints
dodgers have agility and streing / he dodge much times and thats not easy to kill him,the lifepoints are from the 3 typs in the middle
heavyweights recive more vitality and protection / he is not the strongest but he have the best lifepoints

all of this abilitys can pimp up with runes and elements

about the differrents :

we have in this game 3 differrent typs / dodger / bonecrusher / heavyweight

the differrent is,that al of this 3 typs have for all levels not only 1 armor,we can buy / win or whatever more :

grey armor
green armor
blue armor
purple armor
and red armor

grey is the lowest ,green the second lowest etc / all the differrent collors have differrent abilitys

Set Bonus is pretty easy explained:

Introduction:
Its all about increasing your attributes (explained here:info4wod) with wearing many parts of an armorset (you might want to look at the armorpage in the library).
For example the Executioner Vest increases your attributes as stated in its description.
Looking at this vest, you can see, in the lower part that this armor/weapon is part of a set - the Executioner set. All parts / all possible parts are listed also.

Wearing at least five parts of this list give you a bonus to your attributes on top.
This bonus is called the Set Bonus - thats it. Pretty easy, isn't it?

Example:
For the Executioner Set it will be +10 Strength and +10 Intuition if you wear atleast five parts of the set.
If you wear only parts (all 9 equipmentslots) of the parts listed, you get a higher bonus (which is not added to the five part bonus).
Oh, yes, in case of the Executioner Set and similar 'bonecrusher' sets, the axe/hammer does not count as two parts, although it uses two equipmentslots.

As long as you have armor/weapon of the same style (bonecrusher/dodger/heavyweight) equipped, you can mix sets. For example you can have five parts of the Executioner set (bonecrusher) and two parts of the Anger set (also bonecrusher) and it still gives you the Set Bonus (for the Executioner set). The Anger set has more parts on its list - the artful variations (violet) of the parts (check out the Anger cuirass).
Do not mix armorstyle items like wearing a bonecrusher weapon and dodger armor - that will nullify all bonuses. (Parts of the "Generalist"style like the very famous Halberd never mixup anything, maybe because they are not part of a set)

Grand Final:
The ultimative way to make sure that the Set Bonus is active is to check your attributes: click on your backpack and check your attributes. The Set Bonus (in this case Northern Wind (dodger)) will be listed at the bottom.

Oh, the Set boni are:
Leather set
Set bonus: none

Hunter set
Set bonus:
5 items:
+8 protection
+8 vitality

9 items:
+13 protection
+13 vitality

Cutthroat set
Set bonus:
5 items:
+8 strength
+8 intuition

9 items:
+13 strength
+13 intuition

Ringmail Armour set
Set bonus: none

(source: the Library )

IMHO the best combination for lvl3 'grey' set is:
Cutthroat Broadsword and 5 parts Hunterset (2 parts via Quest) (punch and bonus)
