A bow is a piece of you personal equipment which provide both stats and special effect , you can activate those effects by having equipped a quiver(like this : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=10472) and having in your inventory arrows (like these : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=9776) , be carefull to have possibility to use the bow effects you have to get fury , by hitting enemies , and remember : with certain quiver you can carry only a certain number of arrows so use them carefully.
In my case i have http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.ph…ct_id=362122868 and this bow doesn't have many effects , but usually i use effects like : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=9755 to decrease thier healing effects like when he use potions or scrolls (for healing scrolls on some high quality bows there are http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11868 which deny the healing scrolls) , also this http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=9738 is intresting if you are fighting , and if you know the enemy's combo you can also use http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=9747 to make him take damage.
In my opinion the best effects are combo deny (like : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11865) , magic deny for high lvls(like this : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11853) , also pet sleep is very usefull sometimes (like this : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11871).
Maybe someoen prefer : this http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11845 which prevent enemy to dodge or if you are lucky you can try this : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11836 , which penalise if the player dodge your attack.
There are many other effects :
-this to penalise enemy's crits : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11833
-this to penalise enemy's blocks : http://warofdragons.com/artifact_info.php?artikul_id=11840
and many other , maybe is better make a entire guide than explain it here :P
Thank to Emeraldas,Tross Cross,*Nemei* because many linked effects are from her purple bow :shuffle:
Don't be jelous of others, try to care about yours, only after that you will understand what you really have. P.S. Is very very very hard  but i will try my best :peace:

To use a bow a person needs 3 different items:

-The bow itself
-The quiver
-The arrows

To be able to use the bow's effects which are granted depending one the bow's level and colour,a person needs "fury" which can be gathered in the heat of fight with every hit. There are also quivers that give a headstart of fury depending on their colour (the least fury a quiver can give is 20,blue quiver).

Starting from grey bow and going up to the red bow the effects get more various and stronger.

Here are two examples for a grey bow and red bow of level 17,both are Heavyweight. It is visible that grey bow has skills that are less in numbers and power than a red bow.Of course lower levels have even less effects which can go down to 2 skills in level 3 bows.

Effects of Bows

Before I start I should say that I will only use red bows' effects due to them containing all of the effects that were in the previous ones in their stronger forms.

Agility Punishment: Target receives damage that is equal to x% of his/her life when he/she dodges. It does not work on monsters. It stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury. (numbers x,y and z depend on the level and colour of the bow.) This effect is only for the use of Heavyweight bows.

Magical Silence: It prevents the use of magic of the target. It stays for x turns,it consumes y amount of fury.

Shackles of Agility: It prevents the target from dodging. It stays for x amount of turns and consumes y amount of fury. It is only for the use of Heavyweight bows.

Fetters of Weakening: It resets the target's hits that were a part of super-blow combination. It stays for 1 turn and consumes y amount of fury.

Corruption: Removes all the healing and restorative effects on the target. It stays for 1 turn and consumes y amount of fury.

Strength Loss: It makes the target deal damage to him/herself. It stays for x turns and consumes y amount of fury.

Magical Oblivion: This is a special effect that depends on which bow are you using. If you are using Heavyweight Bow then it will decrease the magic protection of light-darkness mages by x amount,if you are using Bonecrusher Bow it will decrease the magic protection of earth-water mages by x amount,if you are using Dodger Bow it will decrease the magic protection of Air-Fire mages by x amount,it will stay for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury.

Sleep: It prevents the target's pet from helping him/her in combat. It stays for x amount of turns and consumes y amount of fury.

Filth: Reduces the healing effects on a target by x percent,it stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury.

Breath of Ruin: It reduces the target's damage by x percent,it stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury.

Magical Screen: It decreases the magical penetration of the target which has the same characteristic of the item you are using. For example: if your bow is bonecrusher,it decreases air-fire penetration of the target,if the bow you are using is Heavyweight,it decreases Water-Earth magic penetration of the target and if you are using Dodger bow,it decreases target's light-darkness penetration in x amount,it stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury.

Flaming Arrow: When it is cast on a target, every time someone hits the targeted enemy, they replenish x percent of their maximum mana,it stays for y amount of turns on the target and it consumes z amount of fury.

Enchanted Arrow: It burns enemy's x percent of maximum mana but not more than x percent of your maximum mana. It consumes y amount of fury.

True Arrow: This effect makes the enemy more likely to receive critical damage by x percent. It stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury.

Glaze Break: It prohibits use of battle auras. It stays for x amount of turns and consumes y amount of fury.

Protection Punishment: The target receives damage that is equal to x% of his/her maximum life when he/she blocks. It stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury. It is a special effect for Bonecrusher bows.

Fury Punishment: Target receives damage that is equal to x percent of his/her maximum life when he/she deals critical damage. It stays for y amount of turns and consumes z amount of fury. This is a special effect for Dodger bows.

Shackles of Ecstasy: This effect prevents target from dealing critical damage. It stays for x amount of turns and consumes y amount of fury. It is a special effect for Dodger bows.

Shackles of Protection: This effect prevents target from blocking. It stays for x amount of turns and consumes y amount of fury. It is a special effect for Bonecrusher bows.

My favourite one is Magical Silence due to it preventing enemy from using magic which can be really useful in mage levels.
It's better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. What's even better is to weaponize your words to destroy anyone who dares challenge you.

How to use a bow?
To use a bow you need a bow, a quiver and some arrows
each class has a bow of their own.

Explain the effects.
bows have different effects that depend on the quality of your bow and the level. green bow has better effects and more effects than grey, blue has better than green and so on.
some effects also depend on your class. for example BC bow has protection punishment so and HW bow has dodge punishment and dodger bow has crit punishment.

Protection/crit and dodge punishment abilities deal 12% dmg of the targets maximum hp and lasts 4 turns (lvl 7 green bow).
shackles of magical silence prevent the target from using spells.
shackles of protection (not sure if exists for dodging and crits) prevents the target from protecting.
breath of ruin reduces the targets dmg dealt by a certain % depending on the lvl and colour of your bow.
strength loss is like retribution powders/scrolls and deals the target a % of the dmg he deals, which again depends on the colour of your bow and lvl.
filth reduces the targets healing abilities by % depending on the colour and lvl of your bow.

Which one is yor favourite?

my favourite is the strength loss ability because it helps alot when fighting against other mages
